Sources: NAMC SMAE Reports 2023–2025, DoA Abstract of Agricultural Statistics, Agribook.co.za, Stats SA Provincial Production Data, Potatoes SA, CGA, Subtrop.
3-Year Monthly Average Method: Extracted monthly volume & revenue share from National Fresh Produce Markets (2023–2025). Calculated 3-year average = (2023 + 2024 + 2025) / 3. Ranked top 20 per month. Applied provincial production weights (e.g. Limpopo mango +45%, Western Cape apples +35%). Representative supermarket SKU/pack sizes mapped from major SA chains.
